Trip to Mysore- Palaces of Mysore

The day we visited Zoo, the same evening we had my aunty's B'day party... Maanvi was so tired that we left her sleeping with my mom... On the way we passed through the Maharaja Palace and found the Palace illuminated... When checked with the security personal, we were told that it was a public holiday in commemoration of Id-Milad, so was the Palace light...We just clicked couple of pics as we were already late for the party....

And so were we regretted for not getting Maanvi with us....
While this post is on Palaces of Mysore, i have included Lalitha Mahal Palace as well which we visited, on our way back from Chamundi hills (in detail in my next post)...
This Palace is converted into heritage hotel and run as an elite hotel of the Ashok Group of the Indian Tourism Development Corporation under Government of India.

The other palace which we never missed to visit during our visits to Mysore in our childhood days was Jaganmohan Palace.. This Palace is now converted into Art Gallery and houses more than 2000 paintings. Other exhibits here include weapons of war, musical instruments, sculptures, brass ware  antiques, coins and currencies... This time we couldn't visit this palace.

  2. Nice pictures of Mysore palace. Mysore is a famous getaway from Bangalore. The Mysore zoo is also a famous tourist spot of the city. Children love to watch animals. Do check Mysore zoo timings to avoid hassle.
