Our #ZuperDayAtKidZania !!!

Our visit to KidZania gets merrier each time, and I can't stop myself from posting here every time I visit. (Do check out my previous post on KidZania here, with a complete insight about the park). Kiddo's school excursion too has been to KidZania since this year and she doesn't want to miss any of her visits, with her friends as well.

Bache, Vita and Urbano welcome you at the Independence Fountain with their Declaration
Last weekend I(along with kiddo) was invited by KidZania as part of #ZuperDayAtKidzania activity by Blogadda. They kept it completely informal and asked to choose the slot of my choice. We opted Saturday after slot and were welcomed by Riddhi from KidZania team. She took us through the tour of the park and left us for ourselves to enjoy. Kiddo had already made the list of the activities she wanted to be part of. MOD has always been in her list and due to long queues, still haven't visited.

The best part of our visit was Camlin studio launch the same day and there was gift hamper for every participant, so the first she wanted to visit was Camlin. It is an art and craft studio, where kids get creative, she got to make a cat mask, which she coloured and decorated with Camlin craft supplies. Next she wanted to be a Police. Being a police, they are given a sketch of a criminal whom they have to search for with each clue they get from different establishments, to end up finding the criminal has taken a flight to Mexico, lol. Though this activity calls for kids of age 4+, the activity requires running around the park and I don't really suggest for 4+, this can be better enjoyed by might be 8+, similar are others like Pepperfry, DHL, Dabbawalas, Godrej Security Solutions, which requires wandering around the park.

While you have 5hours to spend inside the park, few mins go in just waiting for the slots at the activity you look for, the best thing to utilize such slots is participating in free activities like shopping at Big Bazaar, kiddo was so fond of it, the custom made kid's size inventories and the super cute shopping trolleys. She also role played Pilot, Fireman, Construction Engineer, dinning service trainee at Grand Avenue Hotel. Her visits are never complete without a performance at Metropolitan Theater, while she was in a fashion show in our last visit, she took up Shiamak Davar's dance academy this time and performed for the Bollywood song Manva Lage. Bollywood acting is still in her list as she doesn't meet their age limit.

KidZania is having treasure hunt and other fun activities(family activities) till 21st of June, we took part in treasure hunt by Kellogg's Chocos and won their hamper. Take my words and take your kids to KidZania, kids would love to role play at every studio.

6 Important Tips While Travelling with New Born!!!

I was busy with cousin's family who visited us last week. While their elder son, along with my daughter kept all of us engaged running behind them for their littlest fights, the younger one who is too young to join them, stared them whole day. The little one refreshed my travel memories with my daughter, during her infant and toddling days.
There are lot of things that change a parent's life when they are blessed with a baby. Travelling is something that cannot be avoided at certain situations, but can take a toll on you. Going on road with a baby can become a tiring task and you might not be able to create those special moments. This is not a sign that you should give up, but by following some basic rules and pointers, you can turn your trip into a divine voyage with your baby. From feeding and diaper change to infections, these are your top concerns and sticking at home might sound like a good idea. Infants are not that fragile as fearful parents tend to think and with the right baby products, you can take your baby on a beautiful journey.

Pointers while Travelling with your Baby:
Below mentioned are some of the tips that you should follow in order to have a safe and enjoyable trip with your new born.
1. Prepare a First Aid Kit: Assemble a first aid kit with the most essential supplies that you might need in case of a minor injury to your baby. Prescribed medicines and other provisions can also be kept with the first aid kit, to keep everything close to reach.
2. Apply Sunscreen Lotion: Regardless of the season, using sunscreen for your baby is a must to protect them from sun damage and other skin allergies. A cream with SPF 15 or above is recommended and will help you keep your child safe from the harm’s way. Also using a diaper rash cream will reduce the rash from diapers.
3. Carry Baby in a Car Seat: There are endless dangers of travelling with your baby in your hands. A baby car seat must be secured at the back of the car, where your baby will be comfortable and safe from minor car troubles. Its multipurpose use as a rocker can save you, if your baby is used to of sleeping in cradle at home. This was one of the important tips I learned from my cousin.
4. Extra feeding set: Pack extra bottles and other feeding items, to avoid any urgent situations. You tend to lose a few things when you are travelling and packing extra items will ensure that you won’t have any trouble with your baby's feeding times.
5. Pack Ready-to-use Formula: If you are not breastfeeding your child, and have trouble arranging milk on your trip, then ready-to-use milk powder for babies is a boon. Just dissolve it in a liquid and you are all set to feed the baby anytime, anywhere.
6. Pack enough cloths and diapers: You can never have enough cloths for babies while travelling as they tend to get dirty more often. Pack enough diapers and onesies for your new born and travel stress free for long hours.

Get everything that your baby needs with the comforts of your home at BabyOye.com and its sensational range of online baby care products. Travelling is when you get time with your new born and it is the time when you make memories that will last for a lifetime. Adopt the above tips and travel with your baby with comfort and ease.

Traveling With Kid!!!

I love traveling and have been lucky enough to be married to a passionate traveler and been blessed with a travel enthusiast kid. Most of my travels are with family, and you know what, traveling with a 5 year old is not all that easy. Yes, you need to take every care of their comfort during your travel to enjoy your trip. Here is my list of does, to travel with kids,

Travel At Comfort:
  • Food: My daughter is already 5, but still I take every care to have her wants. My travel bag always has Soya Milk tetra packs, energy bars, dry fruits. I make sure that, she has proper meals with us and in between I feed her with my healthy add-ons. I always carry enough water along to keep her hydrated and prefer fresh fruit juice or tender coconut water to those packed aerated juices.
  • Sleep: Your kid needs proper rest during your travel to keep them up for your exploration. We try to manage our journey during evenings, so that we avoid traveling during mid-day sun and also she can have a proper sleep at night at hotel. Even small naps during short drives wake them up fresh. My daughter always wants her blanket while sleeping. Her fav blanket is the first thing which goes into her travel bag.
  • Clothing: A perfect choice of clothing according to weather and place is a must when you are traveling with your kid. Simple, inside out outfits, which serve dual purposes go great for travels, they reduce your baggage too.
  • Hygiene/Medicine: I take every care of the hygiene of my kid during my travel, hand sanitizer, wet wipes and first aid box are a must in my travel bag.
Travel Made Joyful:
  • Keep them engaged in your trips, ask them to click few of your photographs, they would love to do that. Though I always prefer keeping my kid out of technology and games during my travel and want her to enjoy the travel, at certain time, during our long drives, mobile games or video games keep her engaged.
  • Let them free, let them be creative, let them explore the place in their own way, still keeping them safe. For instance, during my trip to Ranthambore I had to restrict her from certain things during our Jungle Safari, while I let her free at beaches to play and be creative with her sand arts.
  • Consider your kid's interest while planning your travel. Travel to places, which would keep kids engaged too. For instance, a trip only to heritage sights or religious places would bore your kid, include sands, snows, water and wildlife to your trips.
  • Who wouldn't love shopping, be it kids or us? Shop souvenirs of their interest. Let alone shopping, trust me even sea shells picked from a beach or peacock feathers from a wildlife safari, would be treasured by them for ages.
Even after you are back, keep refreshing their travel memories, by showing them those travel photographs once in a while. You would be surprised to hear about their travel memories. So, do you travel with your kids too, do share with us, how you make your travels joyful with them.

Nature's Friends

With Star Chart App ON on my tab, my little one yells, "Mumma look I found a Lion(Leo) in the sky", laying under the dark sky and watching out for some wonders.
Kids nowadays are addict to video games or cartoon channels. Or might be its we parents, whose over concern of keeping them indoors is making them closer to media. Let your kid enjoy every pleasure of nature, having a butta roadside or playing in sands on beach or watching wonders of night sky on your terrace. Studies say, kids brought up with nature, build a healthy body and mind. Also, the ability to handle work under stress by rural and urban brought up people had significant changes and rural people could handle stressful situation better.

I have been blessed with a kid, who enjoys living with nature. Accommopanying her on my nature trails has boosted her interest. This is what she asked me when we were back from Safari in Ranthambore, "Mumma why didn't we go to Zone 5 instead of Zone 6, I wanted to see Machli, the queen tiger of Ranthambore".
Eagerly looking for wildlife from her canter at Safari in Ranthambore National Park

With her friends at a nature trail(Flamingo watch) by Sanctuary Asia(Image credit: Abir Jain).
This was what the about picture was captioned, by the photographer, So nice to see these young ones....spending their mornings in places like Sewri to watch the magnificant Flamingos instead of going to a mall or watch a movie on a holiday! Its thanks to their parents for bringing them closer to witness our little remaining urban wildlife!
And navratri is the time of the year, when me and my little one get to showcase our creativity. We arrange a series of clay dolls at home along with idols of god and goddess, and invite family and friends for evening pooja.  As a tradition, plant(which represent prosperity) is grown and offered to god. Check out the miniature forest we created for Navratri Bombe Habba last year, with mustard plant, giving a playful touch to the traditional custom.

Our mustard plant grew so fast, that our tiny animals got hidden just by second day of the festival
So let your kid enjoy and live the childhood!! Let them grow feeding a Hungry bird not playing with Angry Bird, let them grow up watching Capricorn(constillation) in sky not watching Doremon!!!
