With the busy schedules here in Mumbai, we really wait for an occasion to celebrate and some socialism. Irrespective of which religion you are from, almost everybody here celebrates every festival.....The other reason for me might be that, i do miss my family back home and all those celebrations together.....
In Hindu calender the start of Shravana maas comes with a big list of festivals to follow. Raksha Bandhan, Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Diwali, Sankranthi in January, and to end with the season of festivals and welcome the new year Ugadi/ Gudi Padva. Not forgetting Christmas and New Year in between....
For us festivals this year were rather more interesting as Maanvi joined her School and almost every festival was celebrated in her school in traditional way. And also i had my brother here for Raksha Bandhan, which we both celebrated together almost after 6 years...
