Wednesday Bazaar 9 - Juhu Beach

Indian beaches are floated with stalls. The variety of eatables you find on beach side stalls is difficult to find in regular markets sometimes, my favorite one is the Butta(corn) shop...... For this weeks Wednesday Bazaar are these stalls from Juhu Beach..

A walk through Matunga, takes me to my native, those flower shops, the Mysore Silk Saree showrooms, our own Udupi Shri Krishna hotel and Mysore cafe... A perfect place to spend an evening for a south Indian like me...

Wednesday Bazaar 7 - Bazaars of India

Few weeks back i had attended an exhibition on handicrafts from Maharashtra and Gujarat at Korum Mall. This included, Kolhapuri Footwear, Ethnic Gold and Beaded Jewellery, Paithani and Khann Cluthes, Warli Painting and Mud Art, and other Maharashtrian and Gujarati Handicrafts. Ten day exhibition ended with Lavni Dance and Garba on the last two days. An ethnic ambiance was created at the Atrium, with these stalls.

Wednesday Bazaar 5 - Horn OK Please

This is a very common sight on the highways, but for me it was all together a new thing. I wondered what these colourful stuffs were. Then was told by my hubby that these are truck decor items.. For this weeks Wednesday Bazaar are shops which sell truck decors on NH8.

Its summer and time to celebrate with Mangoes(Queen of fruits)... Mango Festivals, and a big list of Mango cuisines, juice, milkshake, pastry, pudding, jam, chutney, pickle, jelly so on and so forth.. You can add to this cuisine list in your comment. Wednesday Bazaar - 3 - Perfume Shop

For this weeks Wednesday Bazaar is a stall which sells Arabic Perfumes at Festival City, Dubai... The coloured creams in the bowls are solid perfumes. This is what wiki says about these solid perfumes,

Solid perfumes or cream perfumes are perfumes in solid rather than the more common liquid form. Normally the substance that gives the cream its base comes from a type of wax that is initially melted. Once melted, a scent or several scents may be added and then further developed until the cream base reaches the desired consistency. Solid perfumes have seen a resurgence in recent years.

Solid perfume is used either by rubbing a finger against it and then onto skin or dipping a cotton swab into it and then onto the skin. Sometimes solid perfume can take more time for the deeper notes to come out than a spray perfume.

Wednesday Bazaar - 1 - Vegetable stall

Bazaar in Hindi(Official Indian language) means, a market consisting of a street lined with shops and stalls. This is a new series on my blog on the Bazaars i have been clicking of... 

An added adjective of Wednesday to this series has my own personal reason... Thats we have vegetable and fruit market every Wednesday in my society.... A vegetable vendor displays his stalls with the demand of the women folk and society permission. It starts at around 3 in the afternoon, in mins you will find the stuffs getting empty... Its view from my balcony is wow... So am starting this series with the pics of Bazaar in my building...
