Happy Durga Ashtami

Going on with my posts on Navratri celebration, here are few pics of Durga Pandals we visited.
Today is Durga Ashtami, the eighth day of Navratri festival. The festival which commemorates the victory of good over evil, the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura, is celebrated by installing the idols of Goddess in Pandals. Special pooja is performed everyday and the festival ends by immersing the idol in lake or sea.
